Key Forensic Services has the best people in place to provide a range of quality forensic testing services, many designed by our forensic scientists to support forensic professionals around the world. Assessed by UKAS, many of the methods are ISO17025 and FSR Codes of Practice accredited.
KFS prides itself on providing a high quality forensic testing service. The quality standard service provided is recognised through the accreditation to international quality standards: ISO 17025 and International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) G19. In 2021 KFS achieved accreditation to ISO 17020:2012 for “Assessment, Search, Identification, Recovery, Recording, Selecting and Examination of Physical Material and Associated Items from Scenes of Crime for Forensic Purposes”
In addition, the services of accredited activities are also recognised as compliant with and accredited to the Forensic Science Regulator Codes of Practice and Conduct (FSR CoPC). Accreditation to the Codes is now mandatory for all forensic providers in the UK.
KFS carries out forensic testing activities within the relevant legal framework for the jurisdiction, for example the Criminal Procedure Rules for criminal casework in England & Wales.
KFS is currently working towards ISO:17043 accreditation, whose managerial requirements will be managed via the established QMS.
