Judith has extensive specialist knowledge gained from many years as an expert witness working on hundreds of investigations including murders, sexual assault, kidnapping. She has been awarded formal commendations for her exceptional contribution to the investigative process.
During her career, she has attended numerous crime scenes advised on sampling and providing expert opinion on many cases including those involving the detection of blood and the interpretation of bloodstain patterns.
Areas of forensic biology expertise includes the examination, analysis and interpretation of cases involving the transfer of biological material such as blood, semen, saliva, urine, faeces, hairs and textile fibres and damage to clothing, blood pattern analysis, application and interpretation of current DNA techniques. She has extensive knowledge of historical techniques and has specialised in application of novel techniques supporting the successful re-investigation of numerous unresolved (cold) cases.
