Key Forensic Services offers one stop Digital Forensics solutions to support the investigation of hi-tech/digital crime. We have invested heavily in resources for this service, with the acquisition of state of the art equipment and the recruitment of specialist staff. Mobile Phone ExaminationsUsing specialist equipment we are able to recover a huge amount of stored data including text messages, call register, audio and video files, photos and the user’s contact list. We can undertake the examination of handsets and SIM cards which have been seized or recovered, plus PDAs and SatNavs and the examination of other memory cards such as SD/micro-SD etc. Hex DumpingMobile phones store data by means of one or several on-board flash memory chips. This memory will contain the data which will be stored on the mobile phone and the mobile phone’s internal software. The service includes a hex dump of the mobile phone, production of a report of the data and a statement. Cell Site AnalysisA service for inferring the geographical location or area where mobile telephone calls may have been made to assist in placing individuals at a specific location or tracing their movements. The service provides clear concise coverage maps, a full and unbiased representation of a mobile phone’s usage and movements and production of a comprehensive report and/or statement. Computer ForensicsSimple and complex examinations of computer hard-drives and other storage media including hand-held computers and PDAs. Forensic Video AnalysisCCTV as the most prolific source of evidence available to our police service is evidence which is least likely to be challenged and most likely to be misinterpreted. Thousands of hours of CCTV footage are processed by police hi-tech crime units around the UK on a daily basis. Using state of the art equipment and highly trained and experienced Forensic Video Analysts, KFS is able to offer advanced forensic video analysis and interpretation. Services include highly skilled comparison processes together with Reverse Projection work. Free initial advice is provided so as to assist the investigation team to understand what is possible from a forensic perspective and how best the relevant images can be presented in support of the Prosecution case. Forensic AudioKFS is able to offer audio enhancement/clarification services together with the production of written transcripts.
